Eternal Life!

How do I know I have eternal life? How can my sins be forgiven? How can I know for sure that when I die, I will go to heaven?

The Bible answers all three of those questions in the famous Bible verse John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have eternal life."

Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." God tells us that every person is a sinner because of Adam's sin in the Garden of Eden. 

Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus Christ died for us and our sins on the cross. He took our sins on Himself.

Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." The death of Christ on the cross is a free gift to us as payment and/or forgiveness of our sins. Though the death of Jesus Christ we can have eternal life and home in Heaven when we die.

Romans 10:13 says, "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." The answer to eternal life here is the same as in John 3:16. We need to believe and all on God to save us. 

The Bible says that we have eternal life by believing on Jesus Christ as our Savior. If you believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for your sins, that He was buried, and that He rose again you will be saved. You can pray today and tell God that "you are a sinner, you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, that He rose again and you want Him to forgive your sins and be your Savior." By praying that simple prayer and believing it you will be saved, have eternal life, have your sins forgiven and will go to heaven when you die. Don't put it off, trust Him today!
